Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026. This policy explains what AuraWorks does with your media and your account information.

1. Your Media Stays On Your Device

All video, photo, and audio editing in AuraWorks — trimming, merging, speed, crop, colour looks, text, transitions, compressing, extracting audio, making GIFs and photo slideshows — runs entirely on your own device (in the Android app or in your browser using WebAssembly). The videos, photos, and music you choose are opened on your device only. They are never uploaded to, rendered on, or stored on our servers. A finished file is kept only if you choose to save or share it.

2. Accounts Are Optional

You can try the editor without an account. If you create an account (with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google) to get higher limits or AuraWorks Pro, we collect your email address, your sign-in credentials, and a small profile record that holds your email address, your plan, and your subscription status. Sign-in and this record are handled with Firebase Authentication and Firestore, services provided by Google.

3. Permissions On Your Device

The Android app asks for access only for what you ask it to do: it opens the videos, photos, and audio files that you pick, it saves finished videos, photos, and GIFs to an “AuraWorks” album on your phone, and it uses the microphone only when you choose to record a voice-over. A recorded voice-over stays on your device until you merge it into a video, and it is not sent to us.

4. Payment Information

Subscription payments made on our website are processed by our payment partner Razorpay. Subscriptions bought in the Android app are processed by Google Play Billing. AuraWorks keeps a record of your plan and renewal status, but does not store full card numbers, CVVs, or sensitive banking credentials.

5. Other Services We Use

To load pages and sign you in, AuraWorks uses Google services (Firebase and Google Fonts) and, on the website, the Razorpay checkout. When your device loads these, the service provider may receive technical information such as your IP address. We do not use your media for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies and browser or app storage only to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and remember your cookie choice. On the website, your sign-in ends when you close the browser tab, and after a period of inactivity. In the Android app, you stay signed in on your phone until you log out.

7. Your Data Rights

You may request review, correction, or deletion of your account record at any time by contacting us at support@auraworks.online.

8. How to Delete Your Account

Any registered AuraWorks user may request permanent deletion of their account and associated data at any time. To do so:

1. Send an email to support@auraworks.online from the email address registered to your AuraWorks account.
2. Use the subject line: "Delete My Account".
3. Include your registered email address in the body of the message so we can locate your account.

We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days. This deletes your account record (email address, authentication credentials) and your stored plan/subscription status. Basic transaction records required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance may be retained for a limited period as required by law. No video, photo, or audio files are ever stored on our servers in the first place — all editing happens locally on your own device, so there is no media to delete on our end.
